Cookie information

EarthQuakeTracker Cookie Policy

The current public tracker does not require an account or use a site-operated advertising profile. This page explains the limited current browser and third-party context.

Current First-Party Cookie Use

EarthQuakeTracker does not currently set application cookies for accounts, saved profiles, advertising personalization, or analytics preferences. Tracker filters operate in the active page state and are not designed to create a personal visitor profile.

Hosting and security infrastructure may use strictly necessary request processing or temporary technical mechanisms to deliver and protect the service. Their exact behavior depends on the production hosting environment.

Browser Storage and Location

The current tracker does not rely on local storage to save a user account or persistent search history. It does not automatically request precise location. If a future near-me feature uses browser geolocation or saves a preference, the relevant page and Privacy Policy will be updated before materially different behavior is introduced.

External Data Resources

Map tiles and live earthquake feeds are supplied by external services. When the application requests those resources, the provider may receive standard request information and apply its own cookie and privacy practices. EarthQuakeTracker does not provide visitor-facing links to those systems.

Managing Cookies

Browsers allow you to view, block, or remove cookies. Blocking strictly necessary technical storage can affect some websites, although the current EarthQuakeTracker interface is intended to remain useful without an account or marketing cookies.

Future Changes

If analytics, advertising, saved preferences, accounts, or other cookie-dependent features are introduced, this policy will identify their purpose and any consent controls that apply. Last editorial review: August 11, 2026.
